TURKRAD 2026 ABSTRACT SUBMISSION AND REVIEW GUIDELINES
To ensure the successful preparation of your submissions, please carefully review the following schedule, writing rules, and reviewer evaluation criteria.

Category-Based Preparation and Review Criteria
Research Articles
May be presented as either Oral Presentations or Posters. Submissions must include the following sections:
- Introduction and Objective
- Materials and Methods
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
Case Reports
May only be submitted as Posters.
Educational Exhibits (“A Topic with Images”)
May only be submitted as Posters.
Please consider the following criteria while preparing your abstract:
Research Articles (Oral or Poster)
Scientific Methodology
The objective of the study should be clearly stated, the methodology adequately described, and patient selection appropriate for the study aim.
Analysis and Ethics
Statistical methods and results should be clearly presented. Ethics Committee approval and prospective study design will receive higher evaluation scores.
Discussion and Contribution
Findings should be sufficiently discussed, conclusions should address the study objectives, and the contribution of the study to the literature together with its clinical significance should be emphasized.
Educational Exhibits (“A Topic with Images”) – Poster Only
Image Quality
The contribution of radiological images to the study and the adequacy of figure legends are among the most critical evaluation criteria.
Educational Value
The clinical significance and educational value for colleagues will be prioritized.
Organization
Consistency between title and content, as well as compliance with submission guidelines, must be ensured.
Case Reports – Poster Only
Originality
The originality and clinical interest of the case, together with its contribution to the literature, are the primary evaluation criteria.
Presentation
The extent to which radiological images support the case and the overall educational value of the study will be evaluated.
General Technical Rules
Character Limit
The abstract text must not exceed 4500 characters, while references are limited to 1500 characters.
Images and Videos
- A minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 images (JPEG/PNG format) must be uploaded.
- Up to 2 videos may be uploaded, and each video must not exceed 10 MB.
- All patient and hospital information must be completely anonymized.
- Images should be labeled as Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.
- Arrows, arrowheads, or similar markers should be used where necessary to highlight important findings.
- Videos should be labeled as Video 1, Video 2, etc.
- Captions related to figures, tables, and videos must be entered in the designated “Description” section of the submission system.
- Figures, videos, and tables must be cited appropriately within the abstract text.
Language
The abstract language must be entirely in Turkish.
References
All abstracts must include references in the designated section of the submission system. References may not exceed 1500 characters. Appropriate citations within the text are mandatory.
For consistency in the abstract book, references should follow the formats below (adapted from the “Instructions to Authors” section of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology):

Keywords: Keywords should preferably be selected according to the MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) index. However, if certain terms essential to accurately describe the study are not included in MeSH, commonly accepted terminology from the literature may also be used.
Abstract Review Process
After peer review evaluation, authors will be informed via e-mail whether their abstracts have been accepted.
Accepted poster abstracts must be uploaded to the system as completed full-text posters by November 2, 2026. The versions presented digitally during the congress will be the finalized full-text versions. Poster abstracts whose full texts are not uploaded within the specified deadline will not be included in the Abstract Book.
Important Reminders
Publication as Submitted: Abstracts will be published exactly as submitted by the authors, without language or formatting corrections. Therefore, compliance with spelling and formatting rules is entirely the responsibility of the authors.
Registration Requirement: According to the decision of the Turkish Society of Radiology Executive Board, accepted abstracts may only be included in the e-book if:
- for oral presentations, the presenting author;
- for poster presentations, at least one of the authors
completes congress registration by October 26, 2026.
